During December 2025 we were approached by Reneww with regards to funding to improve the quality and energy performance of our housing stock. We were able to take advantage of the upgrade to 10 of our properties on the Castle Hall Close development before the expiry of the funding period.
The improvements are designed to offer lower energy bills, reduce cold and damp and increase comfort and include the following measures:
- Ventilation
- Insulation Measures
- Solar Panels (Solar PV)
- First Time Central Heating
- Dual Immersion Water Cylinder
- Modern High Retention Storage Heaters
All tenants that were included in the Scheme have expressed that they are extremely happy with the programme and hopefully, the Longdendale Housing Society look forward to the reinstatement of the Scheme to take advantage of improvements to the rest of the development.
